PREPARATION GUIDE

1) Pre heat the oven to 220c / Gas Mark 7

Lightly grease a baking tray.

2) Empty the mix into a bowl with the lavender seed and stir in 120ml (4fl oz) of milk. Knead the mixture very lightly to form a soft smooth dough.

3) Roll out the dough on a floured surface to approx 2.5cm/ 1in. thick, cut into rounds using a 6cm (2.5ins. cutter.

4) Place on a baking sheet, glase with milk or beaten egg and cook in the top of the oven for 12-15 minutes until risen and golden brown.

5) Cool on a wire rack.

Serve with butter and your favourite jam and cream.

PREPARATION GUIDE

1) Pre heat oven to 190c / Gas Mark 5

Grease the cup cake tray or use  greaseproof baking cases.

2) Empty the mix into a bowl, add the lavender seed, plus two medium eggs and 30ml (2 tbsp)  of water. Beat with an electric mixer for 1 minute until smooth.

3) Add a further 15ml (1 tbsp) water and continue beating for a further 1 minute.

4) Spoon out the mixture evenly between the 6 cup cases. Cook in centre of the oven for 15 mins, until risen and golden brown.

5) Allow to cool on a wire rack.
